A look inside
A seven-second look at the Week view and a lesson. The planner shown here uses its built-in fictional example.
What's inside
A week grid is the starting point. The rest of your school day gets a place, too.
Build your week around your classes. Keep the opening, objective, standards, lesson, task, and assessment together, with extra lesson sections when you need them.
Bring rosters, seating charts, groups, attendance, and progress checkpoints into one place. Use first names or initials for student entries.
Keep a calendar, to-do list, family contact log, and notebooks close by. The things that aren't in the lesson plan still need somewhere to go.
Print your week, attendance sheet, or seating chart. Export your records when you need them, and download planner backups from the Data tab.

A note from Kerri
I built Rooted because a plan book holds a lot of a teacher's day. I wanted room for the lessons, the class routines, and the notes I'd otherwise leave in three different places.
Rooted is a Growing Literacy Co. product, made for teachers across subjects.
Rooting for you,
Kerri
A few useful answers
No. Rooted is for teachers across subjects. You set up your own classes and write your own plans.
It's a planner you open in a web browser on a laptop or desktop. There's no app to install and no subscription. Your $19.99 purchase gives you access to the planner.
Your planner link and unique access code are emailed automatically to the email address used at checkout within 24 hours of purchase. If it hasn't arrived, check spam, then email [email protected].
Your access code can activate up to three browsers. Each browser keeps its own planner data, so your changes don't sync automatically. Use a backup to move your work between browsers.
Yes, plan to be online when opening the hosted planner. It checks your access before loading. Your planner entries are stored in your browser, and aren't automatically backed up online.
The optional planner passcode protects the IEP, attendance, and family contact sections. It does not lock every part of the planner, including ordinary lesson plans. Follow your school's rules for recording student information.
Clearing browser data or replacing your device can erase the local copy of your planner. Download backups regularly from the Data tab, and keep them somewhere you trust. Save your recovery information separately if you turn on the passcode.
If something isn't working, email [email protected] and Kerri will help troubleshoot. If Rooted isn't for you, email within 14 days of purchase to request a refund.
